Responsibilities
1. Manage fast-paced cross-functional projects from end-to-end, covering a range of programs and subsystems
2. Leading and manage project plans and ensure on-time delivery
3. Constantly work to evolve our processes towards increasing precision and dependability, while still maintaining the agility that has gotten Tesla to where we are now
4. Lead the teams with strength and confidence through rapid development cycles, changing requirements, and uncertainty
5. Drive execution and completion of multiple projects at the same time across internal and external stakeholders
6. Act as advocate and liaison for APAC engineering organization with a number of North America and EMEA based groups
7. Cross-functionally communicate at a senior level key developments and updates on new projects
8. Start-to-finish Seating & Safety component program ownership: Components, Specification, prototype manufacturing, component validation.
9. Collaborate with design team, program management, manufacturing and reliability test teams
10. Rapidly iterate as design requirements and vehicle features mature over time
11. Leading the design changing and implement process, work with cross function teams to ensure the success launch.
12. Cooperation with global program team to setup project strategy, working with global GSM team for any program cost analysis and RFQ process, etc.
Requirements
1. BS or MS in Automotive Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
2. 2+ years' technical program management experience, 5+ years total
3. Experience automotive development process, Experience in 3D CAD and 2D drawing tool.
4. Prior Seat or Safety systems engineering experience, and ideally experience with complex electromechanical systems as well. Individual contributor design engineering experience is highly valued.
5. Familiar with the parts manufacture process.
6. Good sense about perceived quality and Craftsmanship.
7. Experience building, developing, and managing highly effective program management tools and processes
8. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills with ability to work in a highly cross-functional and global environment
9. Excellent organization and delegation skills with ability to own the product roadmap and schedule with a track record of delivering projects on-time
10. Ability to inspire confidence in the executive team as well as the engineering project teams, as the face of your programs
11. Experience managing end-to-end product deployment, from concept through development and successful launch
12. Solid product sense with the ability to understand product architecture and as well as drive and criticize design decisions
13. Ability to quickly understand complex problems and effectively facilitate a team to decision and action
