JOB SUMMARY
This role will include to liaise with supplier management and their operation locations in China to ensure the raw material and other cell components are meeting the Agratas specification with focus on cost, quality, economic efficiency, and specific localities known for their manufacturing specialties in cell raw material.
Will handle operations and manufacturing related concerns at tier 1 and tier “n” suppliers and ability to provide a solution based on the past experience or escalate to leadership on time for the additional support and ensuring robust supply.
There is a direct impact to organization competitiveness in the market to have a right supplier selection and have continuous monitoring of supply base .
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Cultivate relationship with Chinese suppliers, ensuring compliance to Agratas standards and awareness of Chinese supply chain (manufacturing location, ports, and localities) for efficient sourcing
· Identify supplier partners for cell raw material value chain including the focus on upstream material supply chain and validate the suppliers as per Agratas procurement process
· Facilitate for supplier reviews / discussions and related decisions on supplier selection process
· Coordinate with procurement leads in India and UK and enable supplier identification based on SOR / technical information’s
· Review technical specification’s /drawing shared by product development/technology partner for specific raw material’s
· Enable development & procurement for proto/production orders based on the Engineering approved releases
· Apply expertise in benchmarking, logistics, including cost validations, emphasizing direct work with supplier partners and understanding the pricing models (FOB/DDP)
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Essential
· Proven expertise in sourcing and product development in the Chinese market for battery industry
· Expertise in Battery / Cell raw material industry and involved in procurement of raw materials for China market
· Handling supplier base for the part development for a full-scale program
· Ability to speak, read and write English and Chinese to communicate with overseas customers in UK and India
· Willing to work across different time zones to connect with the customers to update program update and supply chain constraints
· Good understanding of the China geography to efficiently plan the supplier trips to meet business needs
Desired
· Preferable from a battery manufacturing / reputed tier 1 in procurement / supply chain
· Expert Knowledge in sourcing, negotiation tools, supplier relationship management, supply chain risk assessment
Role Specific Qualifications/Certifications
· Bachelor’s degree / Postgraduate from a reputed institution
· 5-7 years of experience in developing the minerals & metals from its ore in the Cell / Battery industrial environment,
