Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Collaboration
Lead the BIW engineering team, ensuring alignment with Renault’s global teams and external suppliers (ESP).
Foster technical convergence between styling and engineering while meeting project targets (quality, cost, mass, timing).
BIW Structural Development
Design and release BIW structures (sections, 2D/3D math data, BOM) for body-in-white, doors, lids, and functional accessories.
Optimize designs for forming, joining, sealing, corrosion resistance, and assembly performance.
Own the release/freeze process for CAD data (CATIA/RVT) and manage Engineering Work Orders (EWO).
Performance & Compliance
Use vehicle layout, ICDs, and requirements to enhance structural strength, stiffness, safety, NVH, and modal performance.
Ensure compliance with safety (crash standards), environmental regulations, and lightweighting targets.
Track test results and implement design optimizations.
Innovation & Cost Efficiency
Research new materials (e.g., aluminum, composites) and manufacturing processes (e.g., hot-forming, adhesive bonding) for weight/cost reduction.
Drive continuous improvement in team capabilities.
Project Management
Monitor project timelines, risks, and deliverables to ensure on-time, high-quality execution.

Education: Bachelor’s/Master’s in Vehicle/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Experience:
8+ years in BIW development (body structure, closures, accessories) at an OEM or Tier 1 supplier.
Proficiency in CATIA/RVT, PDT processes, and math data release.
Familiarity with manufacturing (stamping, welding, assembly) and joining technologies (SPR, FDS, laser welding).
Soft Skills:
Proactive, solution-driven, and forward-thinking mindset.
Strong communication (fluent English) and teamwork abilities.
Preferred: Experience with Renault standards or global automotive projects.
